Minutes from downtown is Montage Mountain, one of the east coast's most diverse and challenging ski areas with 140 acres of terrain and 21 trails. Lake Scranton, surrounded by wooded jogging trails, provides water recreation. The Scranton Times-Tribune Newseum has outdoor exhibits including artifacts highlighting history of the Scranton Times and the Tribune, and the Scranton Eagles are the most successful team in Empire Football League history.
